Sometimes Kobo (and also Borders) has a glitch like that, where the free book shows as not-free a couple of days after it becomes free.
Occasionally, you'll still be able to get it for free via the respective reader app and not the website (be sure to remove all credit card info from your account before trying this) if you happen to see a "Download" button with no listed price on either the search listing page or the actual product page within the app, even if it gives a price elsewhere.
Sometimes the problem will get fixed before a book becomes unfree, and you can try again later at the website.
