its not going to "fall through". its a glitch. beta testers found a power drain and its been found to be that the wifi module isnt turning off when its supposed to . they'll sort that out with a firmware up date and get on with production.

i read something else interesting about the IR mouse button. it seems some were experiencing spontaneous page turns when reading in bright sun light.

I 've seen that "triggered by sunlight" action before but what actually happens is "triggered by shadow". I used to work for Sharper Image and they sold those automatic soap dispensers- hold you hand under the nozzle and it dispenses liquid soap for a couple of seconds.

every once in a while there would be a customer that walked into his or her bathroom to find the entire contents of the dispenser on the counter/floor. everything would work fine until a certain time of the year when the angle of the windows and angle of the sun plus placement of curtains or what ever else would be jussstt right at their house to cause a just right intermittent shadow movement across the sensor.

that would trigger the dispenser. over an over and over again when no on was around.

Sharper finally made some changes to the operation so that the IR sensor was less sensitive to momentary brightness changes. its a tough balance between wanting a timely response to purposeful input and unwanted triggers. Onyx should be able to deal with it in firmware settings of the ir device itself and perhaps user selected software options(lock page turns to the capacitve buttons on the other side)
