When you got your Kindle, you got a discount for alowing ads -- Amazon figures that into their financials.
And if Amazon is honoring warrenties on Kindles w/ jail breaks now, I doubt they will continue to do so if they find people are jail breaking to get around a contract that affects their bottom line.
If you don't like ads, pay $25 more to get a Kindle w/o ads.
