I tried that but the tech truck had a bunch of water and a cooler full of Sprite that they shared with the bucket crew.

Last night's storm weakened some before it hit here, thank goodness, but I was still scared until it passed. I had my "Oh Sh!t" bag packed and ready to head to the basement if needed, but this one didn't produce any significant rotations. I'm still on a "borrowed" connection, DSL/landline still not back on. I've heard there were damaged hubs and switching equipment so who knows when I'll be back on my secured connection. My roommate cracked me up yesterday - he had dropped a deposit at the bank and was trying to work out his balance on paper. He asked me how he could transfer money if the DSL didn't come back. I pointed out that the helpful people at the local branch would be happy to assist. I use the internet waaaay more than he does but he's the one that's forgotten how to function without it.
