I got the 350 together with the lighted case on sale for under $125. I wouldn't have spent more on a second reader, but for my 8-year old, I figured the compact size would make it easy for him to handle and less of a screen surface to risk breaking.
He likes it well, and I think it performs better than the Kobo wifi.
I put PRS+ on it so we could play chess on the touch screen. Very nice.
