It depends. The black flash when turning pages is the e-ink refreshing. You can call it a page scrub. If the N2 is only doing a page scrub every six pages, you may see ghosting or afterimages of the previous pages. That would be a disaster. Being able to "one-up" Amazon on battery life at the expense of the page quality would be a Pyrrhic victory. Once the N2 is released, we shall see.
