At the press conference B&N spokesmen made a big hooplah about the battery life: "2 months, the longest of any ereader on the market." It even prompted the CNET correspondent to say "Two months battery life! Wow!" I doubt he would have responded that way had they claimed "New, differently measured battery time appears longer than any ereader on the market!" It was sleazy. Amazon didn't want to lose business to people duped by B&N's sleight of hand, so they matched it, which is kinda unfortunate. I respect the Kobo exec for pointing out (diplomatically) that a 30 min measurement time is a scam. edit: that judgement may be inaccurate.
