They kind of look like snowflakes and the right one has dots, so maybe rain drops spinning? Which would be bad weather. The left one changes from flat to cube for me, when looking at it.
The only mythological figure that comes to mind that even seems slightly related, right now, is Thor, so Thor's hammer and thunder with lightning. So, maybe something to do with lightning in bad weather?
