Hmmvery strange, my video player icon is righ on the home screen; It is the little TV/movie screen, center bottom, and also the music and settings icons are there. I just found the settings and was able to turn off the automatic page rotator and turn on the function that let's it go to catnap mode after 30 seconds of inactivity. All you need to do to turn it back on is touch the ok button. I like the non shiny screen and think it's fine for my purpose for it.
I was not able to get it to play a video. As a matter of fact, it would not see the file at all. I used an avi file, which it said it read, but I haven't managed to get it to see any video files af any format. What format did you load?
