Using swipes to turn pages is nice gimmick, but it is very difficult thing to do with just one hand.

Actually the ability to swipe one-handed is one of the great things about the Sony 350--it recognizes a small swipe gesture with my thumb. (This does not work on the Android devices I've tried, which seem to need the swipe to start on on side of the middle and cross over the middle.)
You should try the new devices to see whether a one-handed swipe works or not.
