Dickens, Charles: The Uncommercial Traveller (Illustrated). v2, 22 Mar 2007

Hand-crafted from Harry T’s beautifully illustrated and carefully formatted .prc version.

Please note that the filename ending in '_1200.imp' is for the REB 1200. The other .imp is for the EBW 1150.

Quote:
The Uncommercial Traveller was originally published as a series of essays in Dickens' weekly magazine All the Year Round, between 1860 and 1869.

The title is explained in the opening chapter. Dickens was always on the road, either up or down the country giving public readings, or snatching holidays abroad. "Human interest" is the keynote of the essays, which represent the reflections of a great mind always shrewdly observing every facet of human activity as possible material for his fiction.

Much of the material in these essays is taken from Dickens' own life, and is hence of great interest to his biographers.

This is a fascinating book. Hope you enjoy reading it.
Last of the set of 25 Dickens classics converted to .imp formats (see wiki here for other formats of this classics set).

Enjoy!
