If by 'non-spiritual' you mean those of us still in the physical world I can honestly say I agree. Even if a person has a belief in something that comes after physical aging and death most of us aren't in any hurry to have the experience. It's just plane old human nature to fear death, which is, of course, the natural result of aging.
