I did that myself the first time and ended up uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. That first file you should just unzip it in your download file. When you double click on the installation icon, it'll ask you where you want it installed and that's when you should direct it to your Book Designer folder. It'll create another folder inside Book Designer called "Book Designer 4.0".
I wrote down exactly what I did here on the these boards,I have to backtrack now because I don't remember. I know I placed the .msi file in my created bookdesigner folder and ran it there and installed the files there I do believe. I still say we are mincing folders, this is where all my programs are, just called something different but should that affect anything....

I sure as heck don't want to install this again.

reading Brians instructions, I think I am in the right place, some have the folder names bookdesigner40 mine is just bookdesigner. I have these subfolders he mentions in there.

4. Create the folder "Sony Reader", and "LastFile" in the Book Designer 4.0 folder.

5. Open a Command Prompt, as Administrator. (Right-click on the menu item and select run as administrator.) Go to the Book Designer 4.0 directory, and run the following command: regsvr32 GflAx.dll. This dll was copied to the BD by the update, and needs to be registered to get graphics (such as browse for a cover page) to work properly.
