You keep putting words on my mouth, things that I did not write or say.

I did not say people are rooting the device to give money to Amazon, on the contrary, I said it can affect B&N because what the company wants is the user to buy and use their own "Android Environment", not buying from other online libraries. That's what B&N does, selling books. They don't want people to buy from Amazon, and once you get access to Android Market, you will be able to install the Kindle app and read books from Amazon directly.

The new B&N Android app and store, is to make more money and revenue via apps. Rooting defeats that purpose. If you root it, you will not be helping the company that you are saying you love and like, instead, you are helping Google.

People opted for rooting the NC because they don't like the stock device, is awful! They want to be able to install Kindle app, among other nice readers which are way better than the default one; that was the initial post on this thread.

Yes, users are free to do whatever they want with their device, including Kindle, but regarding the NC, it won't change the fact that the stock device is far from good.
