I've probably got the least amount of computer expertise of anyone reading this thread, but I can identify with April's feelings about all this.
April, at the Command Prompt, after signing on as Administrator, at the cursor I put: CD \BD Program\Book Designer 4.0, hit enter, and then added the regsvr32 GflAx.dll and hit enter again and the program said it had registered successfully. "BD Program" is the name I've given the folder on the C Drive that contains Book Designer.
Feel free to ignore all this if Jon or someone else comes up with something else they feel you should do.

If, after hitting that first enter you don't get a complaint from the program, you're good to go. I played around with it for quite a while before I saw, sort of, how it worked. Note that you do need the space after the CD.

I will look at this but I did not install my version of bookdesigner into c/program files/bookdesigner....... I made mine in c:/bookdesigner...... so not sure if the above would pertain to me. I will check it out, but like I said, not sure I am going to be that courageous, LOL.
One could hope that perhaps whoever wrote this program will rewrite it and make it workable for VISTA........ Other than that, although curious as to why, I am just happy that I can put a book in the program/run it and it work. A picture is not that important to me...... but I have my curious side, which at times, can also be a downfall, if you catch my drift <G>
