Depends on platform, setup and what you run... I have on three different computers and also installed on at least half a dozen others over the last couple of years and not had a single crash... although I'd admit to not using it for html files, badly formatted or otherwise, I'm lazy and use Dreamweaver et al...

Don't expect too much though; because, from what I have found, it still has many of the same issues that plagued OpenOffice (i.e. still crashes randomly too often, and some simple actions like loading or saving a badly formatted file in html format will crash it every time)

Some say it's faster, but on my Ubuntu box I didn't notice any change (if anything Libre-Office loads a second or two SLOWER).

Also, for a team that wasn't happy with Oracle and wanted to 'clean up the act', I have to say I am NOT IMPRESSED SO FAR, because when I installed LibreOffice from the official PPA it promptly DELETED my OpenOffice install without permission (they can run side by side), then also proceeded to SCREW-UP my common system files so bad that my Firefox couldn't spell check anymore until I went in and manually reinstalled aspell.

'At-A-Boy' "Libre-Office" team, way to go, if this represents your best effort then PLEASE give the project BACK TO ORACLE!
