The Douay Rheims Bible is the only English language Bible in the public domain. It also is a historically important document in that it was the first version of the Bible which the Catholic Church authorized to be printed. There was concern that if the bible were to be printed that "errors" could be either deliberately or accidentally.
I have followed the Challoner edition and have created a PDF version of the Bible in a format suitable for the Sony Reader. I have elected to create the Bible in PDF because of the TOC limitations of the BBeB format. I have found that by careful selection of font and font size that a very readable file can be made.
True to the Challoner edition I have created three volumes, two from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. I have also concatenated the three volumes into a single large volume as well.
