There's a
thread about this on the Kindle Boards. It might be that a book is stuck indexing but a lot of people report that they have to charge every week. I wouldn't mind charging every week, as long as the battery doesn't go from full to empty overnight, which happens every 6-8 weeks with my Sony (one of the reason why I wanted a new, non-Sony, reader).
