I have been using Wine for quite a long time and got mostly excellent results for a good variety of software, sometimes even, would you believe it, maybe slightly better than using Windows for example for some chess engines.

Furthermore you know very quickly if it's working or not. It's new for me to suffer this kind of pesky problems.

Why to use Wine with Sigil?

Now, I agree there is no good reason. But, till the 22 of April this year, the Linux version was quite huge because it installed the full Qt gear. So, I kept using an old portable 0.24 Linux version. I wanted to test a new one and chose the new small-sized Windows version.

I just came to realize (I had given up hope) that now the Linux version size is close to the Windows version size , which, for me, makes it much more attractive and clears any hurdle.
