According to the 2001 Census, 58,000 people (1.2% of the population of Scotland) had some language ability in Gaelic at the time, so it is a minority language by any measure. Most native speakers live in Outer Hebrides. Gaelic is written (today) with the standard Roman alphabet, so the Kindle certainly supports it.
