I can believe it. Putting out large print books is expensive and they are heavy.

The Kindle has easy to use buttons and test to speech. The text to speech could become more valuable if he continues to lose his eye sight because the Kindle can read him books that are not available as audiobooks that he is interested in.

I got my Mom a DXG because the larger screen, while heavier, holds more words when she uses the larger font size. I also think that the 5 way joystick is easier for her to use then the directional pad.

I think all of the e-readers can increase the font size. All of them are going to involve some type of buttons. Even touch screens. Touching the screen requires some degree of precision and dexterity. It could be that the Sony's work better for him because touchscreens are more forgiving.
