ARe you diving in fresh water? Our wetsuits didn't get really stinky and I used to pee in the water all the time. Although we were living on the boat so we washed them out in salt water when we came back to the boat and later (sometimes weeks later)with laundry detergent when we were in port or a fresh water place for laundry.
Maybe yours don't get a chance to dry between dives

Fortunately, people aren't really good shark food, especially when there are plenty of little fishies around.
(Right after this shot, her tank slipped out of the rental BCD strap, so we had more to deal with than just sharks. This is why I don't care for rental equipment!)

A couple of reefies won't bite you too hard!

Although losing your tank is a pain especially as I see it as the best way to blunt a sharky tooth when he comes in for a bite!
