No, GoogleSky, etc. are nothing like as powerful as SkySafari or even Distant Suns. SkySafari is excellent. GoogleSky is more for a casual astronomer. I like detailed (down to fairly low magnitude) star maps, ability to show detailed info on comets, planets, etc. Something you could use at the telescope.

If you google around for astronomy apps, other astronomers agree with me.
