@Ea: you think Noteshelf is the best then?
I didnt try it yet, I installed instead smartNote, Note Taker HD and Notes Plus.
Up to now, Notes Plus is my favorite (slightly above Note Taker HD), but I have some issues with its ability to recognize small pen segments, as dots, commas etc.
You think that Noteshelf is better in this regard?

Also, I read that Noteshelf's page is a bit small, compared to alternative programs. Do you agree?

no answers yet - so I just add a note, having just installed the (free) UPad Lite:
the BEST app from the point of view of responsiveness to pen input
