1814: The men at Eidsvoll agreed "until the Dovre Mountain falls down". Norways constitution day.
Norway declared independency form Denmark-Norway (a union enforced by Denmark since 1380). Denmark answered by "giving" Norway to the Swedes. Although Norway still was not truly independent, the union with Sweden were a little "looser". (And Norway became truly independent 07th June 1905, albeit we had to "import" a King from Denmark since our King heir died in 1200-something)
