I just received a 2d ed Iliad from Ereader Outfitters; I own a Kindle. The two features that impress me most over the Kindle are the screen contrast and the screen size.

I will be using the device (whichever one I keep) primarily for reading books.

The two drawbacks of the Iliad are durability and lack of connectivity.

My biggest concern about the Iliad are what appear to be numerous complaints about broken screens. If my estimates are correct, this seems to be a pervasive problem that is simply outrageous given the price of the device.

Does anyone have an estimate as to how frequent a problem this is?
