We ruffled feathers with some of the big ebook stores during our last hugely popular give-away, I think.

But MobileRead is a non-commercial, members-only site and we can pass off the next one as a 'promotional competition' here where applicants for a couple of free books from the catalogue would have to answer a really tricky question like: what is the email address I must make my request to?

There will be a heavy clue, of course, in that we'll have to post that address here anyway. And, although this would be an offer to MR, you'll be welcome, informally, to tell as many friends as you like that they also qualify if they know that email address. (That might even help pull in some new members for MR itself.)

Just not sure whether the MR mods will allow a general thread for this or if it will get buried in the 'shameless promotion' sub forum. Must ask before our best laid plans are finalised.
