Hi! I've read through many posts, but can't seem to find the exact same issue elsewhere (unless I've missed it).

Two weeks ago, I got a Kindle, version 3.1. Battery icon showed approximately 1/3 charge. I promptly charged it fully using regular AC. Battery icon still shows 1/3 charged. The green battery light indicator on the switch seems to work and shows green. Used it anyway for a week... only one download and read half the manual and looked through store a bit. That's it. It was actually off (not just sleeping) most of the time. Battery dead 10 days later. Completely recharged it again yesterday. Battery icon still looks 1/3 charged... still has never shown anything different than that.

I followed many of the suggestions on here... rebooting it, turning of 3G and wifi, talking nice to it, voodoo dance.... still battery icon frozen in same position since opening it for first time.

Any suggestions?
