I have to say I've had a great experience with my Toshiba Satellite and so have all my friends. The only thing I don't like about them is that they utterly despise Linux users. Lots of guys in the FOSS community have complained about how hard Toshiba has worked to prevent anyone from using Linux on their laptops. Aside from that I haven't had any physical issues with their systems at all.
