Then by definition, the thread is not designed to speak to you or "most people" (whoever they are) but rather to those "retentive[]s" who would like advice on covers and do wish to know if they're alone in finding the ergonomics of the K3 shoulder buttons problematic.

We all have the right to post here, but the purpose of the thread is not something you agree with or wish to add to in a constructive way. When I feel that way about a thread, I try to let the interested parties talk.

No one's maligning your Kindle, mardek. That's the beauty of having a forum in which every thread needn't involve you or me personally -- they're talking about their Kindles, not ours.

Speculating about the possible ergonomic drawbacks of a specific iteration of a reader I happen to own on a personal and empirical level is not the same as telling you that your reader sucks and how dare you buy it.

Likewise, your finding no ergonomic issues with the Kindle 3 is great, but we're not going to enter a happy world free of war and racism if I pretend to agree.

And how long ago was it that every forum member who owned a Kindle was complaining endlessly about slow page turns? I didn't agree with them, but I also didn't call them "retentive[]s." After all, they bought the thing and deserve to be able to criticize it.
