I frequently read outside but I rarely sit with the sun at my back, rather I sit toward the sun with a hat on so that I wont get blinded by the sun. Also, direct light can produce glare (in the ''wrong'' angle), but I found that if I sit toward the sun I don't have to worry about that problem, at all. Works as well as a paperback book, really.
Sometimes, I also like to read outside at night using a book light, drinking a cup of tea while observing the night sky from time to time. Haha
