Thanks. I'll definitely save the link for after I've finished. But right now, I'm not really looking for any actual plot discussion which may contain spoilers. I'm just wondering if there's events/people in the previous novels that would be considered "required knowledge" before reading The Long Goodbye. The question may be moot, as I've not run into any puzzling references lately.
