Well I have decided to return the Kobo this coming weekend or maybe next week. I was having problems getting books on and off today. I got it fixed, but I realize a few things

1. I really want a dictionary.
2. I enjoy using an ereader and its way more comfortable. I will probably use it for all my books, not just fiction.
3. I thought I would still buy some books, but I don't really see that happening. I like having everything right there at my finger tips.

I am looking at the Kindle and the Sony 650 right now. I know I said the 650 was a bit to pricy and I still think that. It is well built, so I am thinking about spending the money on it. I am not interested in the pocketbook or cybook. I think the kindle has the better screen, I think it has more options for formating the text and good dictionary features. I can only compare the screen to a demo 950 modle at best buy. It looks a little beat up.

I read a lot of books on history, which contain graphs, maps and maybe pictures. It looks like both would be fine, but is there anything I should be aware of? Which book would be better for these?

Is there a contrast control, so that I can make the text darker on PRS 650? I had this problem on the Kobo. I know you can do it on the kindle, but I couldn't find it on the 950, which looked faint or not dark enough. I did read that you should be able to do that with pdf's but what about epubs?

Which ereader would be better for searching a book for something inside a book? Say I need to find a historical account of something. Is there an advantage of one over the other. They look about the same.

The kindle has the advantage for adjusting text size over the 650, but has anyone had an issue with the text sizes on the 650. I noticed a couple of spots, there was a huge step between some of the text sizes.

How is the input/typing with the 650? Better to use fingers like an ipod or the stylus for taking notes.

Can you export notes from either machine to your computer? I have a mac.
