Hello
My name is Ron Ebest. I'm a college teacher/writer living in St. Louis. My first novel, "The Dave Store Massacre," is being released at the end of this month (May) by Academy Chicago Books.
I'm working on converting my novel to an e-book, which is why I've joined the site.
My writing is black comedy--I find I can't actually write anything else very well (I've published non-fiction, but in this context, that doesn't count). I've started a blog called "Grim Smile" which I think captures the sentiment I'm trying to convey in what I write. (I'm not advertising this blog--I haven't had time for it, so it only has one or two entries, neither of which, frankly, are much worth reading. I guess that's one more thing to work on!).
I'd like to start a writing/publishing venture with like-minded people under the "Grim Smile" rubric--the best of satiric or black comic novelists coming together in one place.
More on that later--although, if you are a satirist and this idea is interesting to you, you know where to find me.
