I just noticed this post. I have four things to say.
1) Beautiful stories, shel/chris, astra and jswolf
2) astra, for some reason I had pegged you at half the number
3) I have met some of my closest friends online- many, many friends (I already had a husband by the time I got the internet.... we've been married 15 years.
4) I never would have met my husband online anyway. I don't think there's a single common website we like. His online tastes are extremely different from mine. He doesn't do any types of chats or forums. He used to visit godlike productions forum, but he just lurked.
Oh, I guess I have 5 things to say.... 5) I had to look up "IRC" after everyone kept mentioning. I was trying to guess "In Real Closeness," "If Roses Climb," "I'm Really Cool" ... I won't bore you with the rest, but suffice to say, I was way off.
