You can set the default font in lrf output, convert to .lrf and then convert the .lrf to epub.
I do this sometimes if font is too ornate or just butt ugly.
Might seem a pain but easier than using an editor IMO and you can do a bulk convert for a lot of files at once if you set the font in preferences.
