I have just finished E.B. Sledge's book "With the Old Breed on Pelileu and Okinawa" and have started his "China Marine".
Before that read Jean Auel's final of Earth's Children series, "Land of Painted Caves" which I found disappointing - lots of rehashed material from previous books in the series. Is seems as though really there wasn't a lot left to say.
