When flashing "rom's" on android devices, it is good practice to do so on a fully charged battery, because the new "o/s" calibrates from when it is first run.

You may want to either fully charge the NC and then reinstall ver 1.2 which would re-calibrate the battery or you could create a SD card with the clockwork recovery image and boot from the sd card into Clockwork recovery. There is a menu item in Clockwork to reset the battery calibration, this also works best if done while on a full charge.
