I think kids like the whole touch, look and feel of a book and can get really in to it. I remember when I was a kid how I felt when I would run home from school excited about another Enid Blyton book I took out from the library. I would sit on my bed and just escape in to the book.

My 8 year old son doesn't get why I read off a Kobo and looks at it like it's a snake ready to strike lol. He is not a avid reader of fiction but he gets the same look on his face when he reads a science book that I had when I read the Enid Blyton books.

My 24mth old loves to hand me books and I hold them while he flips the pages and looks. He wouldn't get that experience with a eReader. He just sees my Kobo as a thing to look at and probably destroy in the process. lol

I don't actually miss reading proper books. I LOVE my Kobo!
