That Canada’s DRM law is at the bottom of the list is, to me, a good thing.
There are people afraid of loosing control of their product (ebooks in this case) and want protection (DRM).
That's fine with me. I'll just buy less of their products and more of those without DRM. An anti-DRM stand should be a personal choice.
My objection is when they pass laws that let them use the government to pulverize some poor smuck for downloading some pirated music, books, or even a few programs.
And all governments do have copyright protection in one form or another. That's life.
There are more important things to worry about, and better ways to use your time on earth. Hatred is self consuming and never a better way to live.
