Sony Reader commercial
Wow, I have never seen that commercial before. I wonder how widely played it is/was in the US. I also noticed how different the feel was (especially music-wise) between this commercial and the second Kindle one. The Sony commercial seemed more geared towards an older, calmer audience while the Kindle seemed more "hip" and geared for an active, younger audience. Both offered good information. I think my impression (from these commercials) is that Kindle is "cool" and Sony ... not so much. Sony must be "your parent's reader." Of course, Sony gets my vote every time, anyway...

I don't understand why Sony doesn't advertise it's e-readers in TV commercials. Amazon advertises the Kindle, B&N the Nook. Even Apple advertises both the iPad and iPhone as e-readers (in addition to other things) in their numerous commercials.
Yes! I know that ereaders aren't Sony's big money-maker or anything, but I just think they could do some targeted advertising and turn this into more of a money-maker. After all, I can't provide the sole advertising for Sony via word of mouth!
