The sequence of events should be:
- A prompt from Windows UAC (User Account Control) asking if you want to run this program - you need to say yes to this This works fine and I click YES here
- A dialog for a few seconds that says "extracting". This is quite normal for most installers. The extracting is exactly what I see. No problem here.
- The extracting dialog disappears and then one appears asking you to select the language (choice being English or French). It is possible this has gotten hidden behind another Window? Nothing hidden that I cannot see - simply not getting this language box.Pressing OK on that Dialog brings up the first of the main installer dialogs.
If that sequence is not working do you have java installed (it is required for the calibre2opds installer to work correctly)? One way to check is to open a Command Window, and then simply type the command "java" (without the quotes). If Java is properly installed then you should get a message giving all the command line options for the Java command. I did run cmd and YES I do see all the Java line options. Also just to be sure, I went to the Java website and validated that I have the most recent version of Java runtime. Literally after the extracting process, I get the exe file open with the listing of everything contained within it. I don't see any type of language choice box which is what I would expect to see.
