Sony is definitely non-existent when it comes to advertising on American TV. It's definitely one of the reasons why more Americans are familiar with the Kindle and to a lesser extent, the Nook even though they both came out after Sony.

I don't understand why Sony doesn't advertise it's e-readers in TV commercials. Amazon advertises the Kindle, B&N the Nook. Even Apple advertises both the iPad and iPhone as e-readers (in addition to other things) in their numerous commercials.
