Wellll the no farkin' winters part lets out you becoming my neighbors, darn it!! If I had the chance to relocate now, after living both in IL and TX, I'm thinking somewhere in Missouri sounds good. Not too close to the Mississippi, maybe in the middle of the state. You get all four seasons that way, but winters that are bearable and don't drag on and on (and on and on). I hear the cost of living is pretty reasonable. Another area we looked at was east Tennessee/west North Carolina.
