Hi and welcome.
You probably need to at least get some bookreading software on your computer and start using this to see what is around. Do get an ereader, even if it is a "cheapie" as it will very difficult to make good decisions for your library without this hands-on experience, it isn't just like reading a paper book in a digital format.
There are probably a few librarian members of this forum so ask questions!
There is a very good digital library at my university - http://ebooks.adelaide.edu.au/ and a link to this site on your library's web site might be a good start to introducing your library users to ebooks. Also there are a lot of texts used by students so it is a good educational resource.
