Yes, what you describe works and the print is legible (although small). When you do this, there is an arrow at the bottom of the 1st page that indicates you need to press the button to see the rest of the page. You can also crop the white margin and that makes the PDF file look better on the CyBook.

I create a lot of PDF files for course reference materials in the classes that I teach, and I've created a page size in Word that is optimized for my Cybook. This makes for a very nice PDF file that looks great on my Cybook.
