funny all these arguments against a new computer interface paradigm, they are all just like the naysayers when the gui and a mouse were introduced. The command line zealots had them all buy buried before they every got started, now look where we are?
Just because it wan't in an SF movie or book from the '50s does not mean it's a bad thing. In fact I say because the industry has become so stock price driven we have seen very slow to poor evolution in the industry. Good ideas are now warehoused by the truckload in exchange for money or fear of the inventor thanks to being scared of a lawsuit from a company like Apple or MS or pick your world economic power that has a very vested interest in preserving the status quo in order to reap more profits from old and outdated conventions.
These devices are coming and will bring some very welcome changes to how we view and use computers. Using computers is not all about sitting at a screen with a keyboard and mouse surfing for 23hrs/day.
