Log into your Kobo account on the Kobo web site and go to My Library.

Select the Purchased tab and you'll see all your purchased books.

Select the checkbox on the book in question and press the Bookmark button. This places the book into the I'm Reading tab.

When a book is in the I'm Reading tab it will be downloaded to the Kobo desktop application when you press the Update Library button on the desktop app. The book will now sync with your e-reader when connected.
