Right, I think so too.

My parents never explained to me how women get pregnant. Sex never happened to be the topic of our discussion: I never asked and they never had the intention to bring up that topic. Somehow, at the age of 14-16 I managed to come across a relevant thread about sex in an encyclopedia father bought me and so my parents never had to suffer from difficult questions

I think books is a wonderful solution to parents, if they think they can't explain it exactly (due to the lack of advanced knowledge ) or simply too shy to say anything to kids. They can buy the children a book or two and let them read it.
