I find cases to be bulky and awkward. The only time I feel one is needed is when I am traveling to protect the screens from scratches. Mine has survived naked for a year around the house with two kids just fine.

I really don't think a case is going to offer a whole lot more protection than a good laptop bag will. Just keep the screens facing in to protect them from impacts, and keep other items that could scratch them out of there.

Of course, that's just my opinion. Some people like to put cases on every electronics item they buy, I almost never do.
